How proof of funds is actually assessed

Case officers do not just look at the closing balance. They look at the shape of the account: whether the money arrived gradually or all at once, whether the deposits match your declared income, and whether the balance dips below the threshold at any point in the holding period. A statement showing a single large transfer three days before submission fails far more often than a smaller balance built up over months.

The figures above are the published maintenance rates for common routes and are a planning guide, not legal advice — always confirm the current amount on the official immigration site for your destination before you apply.
